Connected Savings an Intelligent Platform

Wednesday 16th November 2016

EARTH Networks have for over 20 years have been using the world’s largest weather, lightning and greenhouse gas monitoring networks, with sensors across the planet keeping everyone informed, updated and alerted

Recently Earth Networks announced the launch of their Connected Savings platform which is designed to provide consumers with energy savings by delivering energy intelligence via the integration of Internet of Things (IoT), connected smart home devices, proprietary weather data, and its patented and predictive algorithms.

Earth Networks describes Connected Savings as “an Intelligent Demand Side Management (IDSM) platform with a comprehensive demand response management system (DRMS) that allows for tailored DR control strategies and a partner-friendly customer engagement portal in addition to automated energy efficiency and actionable home energy insights.” A mouthful, but breaks down to a good and useful bit of kit for saving energy.

It has been developed for use by everyone from utilities through to home owners, all looking for energy savings, comfort, and custom insights; utilities looking to meet demand response and energy efficiency goals while gaining increased customer engagement and value.

The savings are achieved by using weather datasets, their algorithms that correlate indoor to outdoor conditions, predictive energy efficiency analytics, and integration with the increasing spread of IoT-connected smart home devices.

Check the program out, but they do present a little technical seeing they also target home owners!
