Alaskan Funding for Energy Efficiency Improvements

ALASKA’S Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development is calling for applications for the Alternative Energy and Conservation Revolving Loan Fund.

From September 10 applications to the fund can be by commercial building owners - the fund offers affordable loans for energy efficiency upgrades and alternative energy generation programs.

Up to $50,000 is available for each project, with the maximum term of 20 years at a 5 percent interest rate. Applicants must be Alaskan residents for at least 12 months prior to applying for the fund, with the proviso that the loan will result in alternative energy production or energy conservation.
