Energy Efficiency Criticism for Croatia's Goverment

CROATIAN NGO Green Action criticized the Croatian government on Earth Day for not investing enough in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, reports dalje.com.

Green Action president Bernard Ivcic said: ”The Croatian government, unfortunately, is not showing any ambition to tackle the problem of climate change; it is not investing enough in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, has an extremely bad energy policy directed at fossil fuels, and is showing its incompetence to create a model for adjustment to the consequences of climate change.”

Ivcic added that his organization along with two other bodies, Group 22 and the Heinrich Boll Foundation, were arranging a panel discussion in Zagreb to talk about the latest UN report on climate change and its social and economic consequences.
