Energy Efficiency Funding for SMEs In NE Lincolnshire, UK

SMALL businesses in North East Lincolnshire, UK, are getting the opportunity to benefit from £9.2m funding to improve energy efficiency and save money and emissions.

The Smarter Energy Greater Lincolnshire program is making the money available. The program aims to aid SMEs to make improve energy efficiency through grants, knowledge and training over the next three years.

The North East Lincolnshire Council program is looking to provide training for 400 businesses and award grants to a further 169 enterprises. These businesses can apply for up to 38% of any changes to be paid for by the program, such as upgrading lighting systems.

This project is the first of its kind in the UK and is being supported by the German Institute for Applied Material Flow Management.
