Energy Efficiency MBA Program

UKRAINE and the European Union (EU) have teamed up to offer a tailor-made MBA Program for the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving (SAEE) in Kyiv.

The aim of the MBA Program, to be conducted at the International Management Institute in Kyiv, is to enhance the management skills of 24 mid- and top-level officials of the State Energy. The MBA Program has been specially designed to best fit SAEE's needs while meeting internationally recognized standards.

The MBA course will last for 26 months, and will include specific energy efficiency related courses taught by international experts and a one week practical internship in one of the EU countries. Upon graduation, the program participants will contribute to implementing energy efficiency policies at SAEE, strengthening the Agency role thanks to the enhanced qualification of its staff.

“There are all grounds for Ukraine to become one of the key players at the European energy market,” said Jan Tombinski, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

The MBA Program for SAEE is addressing the issue of energy efficiency in Ukraine and can be reviewed and considered at different levels: from the state energy dependence in the country, from the social and political level, and from the level of enterprises, who have to understand and implement the energy management in their activities.

The issue of energy efficiency is of paramount importance in the energy sector. Ukraine and the EU have established a dynamic and intense cooperation to address the energy efficiency challenges, with the aim to improve Ukraine's energy security and Ukraine's economy competitiveness together with providing sustainable energy to Ukraine's consumers.

The setting up of this new course highlights the greater importance energy efficiency and saving is receiving in the corporate and political sectors.
